Graduation Schedule:
Morning of November 28, 2023:
- Doctoral and Master's degree award ceremony for Computer Science, Information Technology, and Information System disciplines.
- Bachelor's degree award ceremony for the Faculty of Computer Science, Faculty of Software Engineering, and Faculty of Information Science and Engineering (including 2nd-degree and distance learning programs in Information Technology).
Afternoon of November 28, 2023:
- Bachelor's degree award ceremony for the Faculty of Information System, Faculty of Computer Engineering, and Faculty of Computer Networks and Communications.
Venue: Tran Chi Dao Hall, Ho Chi Minh City National University of Information Technology.
The university will decorate the graduation scene in UIT's courtyard for students to take commemorative photos. Students can walk from Tran Chi Dao Hall through the campus of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to return.
General Notes:
- Take care of personal belongings, valuables, and attire.
- Maintain order, turn off mobile phones, and refrain from using laptops during the ceremony.
- The university will provide photography services for graduates in the hall and on the campus. Students and parents are advised to use only the university-provided photography services. Taking photos and presenting flowers on stage during the ceremony are not allowed.
For New Master's, Bachelor's Graduates:
- Morning session: Gather at 7:30 AM, Afternoon session: Gather at 1:00 PM at Tran Chi Dao Hall for attendance, seat assignment, and ceremony instructions. The ceremony will commence at 8:00 AM in the morning and 1:30 PM in the afternoon.
- Students must be present on time, sit in the assigned seats, and follow the attendance procedure with the responsible faculty secretary. Students who do not follow the procedure will not be included in the graduation ceremony.
- Follow the directions of the organizers, do not leave the auditorium during the ceremony (expected to end at 11:45 AM in the morning and 4:45 PM in the afternoon).
- Wear the prescribed attire, tassel on the left side.
- Remember the seat number and sit in the assigned position as per the announced diagram.
- During the flag salute: stand without a hat. During the reading of the graduation decision: stand, wear the hat, tassel on the left.
Graduation Procedure:
Step 1: Move as directed by the organizers, follow the list order, and perform the final attendance when queuing between Block 3 and Block 4.
Note: Move away from the seat to the left.
Step 2: Step forward to the front of the stage, adjust clothing, tassel on the left, wait for the name announcement.
Step 3: When the name is announced, move to the center of the stage; bow and shake hands with the faculty using both hands; bow for the faculty to adjust the tassel and attach the medal. When receiving the degree, hold both hands, chest level. Turn towards the audience, look directly at the camera, take a photo with the faculty.
Step 4: Move to the back, line up according to the coordinator's instructions, take a group photo according to the faculty.
Step 5: Return to the seat as directed.
For Parents:
- Follow the instructions of the organizers. Parents, please watch the graduation ceremony from the stands on the 1st floor of the Hall.
- Take care of personal belongings to prevent theft.
- Do not gather in the ceremony area, stand at the doors and aisles of the hall.
