On the morning of December 12, 2023, University of Information Technology (UIT), along with the leaders of departments, offices, faculties, lecturers, and the Youth Union - Student Union, visited and encouraged first-year students (Batch 2023) currently undergoing military training at the Center for National Defense Education of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. Representing the delegation, M.S. Nguyen Van Toan - Head of the Student Affairs Office, M.S. Nguyen Thanh Hiep - Secretary of the Youth Union, and M.S. Tran Ba Nhiem - Deputy Head of the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Office visited, inquired, and motivated the first-year students to study military science with confidence, enhancing solidarity among the team members and successfully completing the training program.
Military science is an important component of the curriculum for students at the member universities of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, this is a precious time for each individual to build social relationships within the class, with previous batches, and with other departments after a period of study at the university. On this occasion, the University of Information Technology also sent gifts from the university to the Batch 2023 students.
After the meeting, the working delegation from UIT visited the facilities: classrooms, dormitories, and dining halls for trainees and held a discussion with the leadership of the Center for National Defense Education of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. The visit of the university's leaders and representatives of departments demonstrates the deep concern of the leadership of the University of Information Technology for the new students undergoing military training. It is hoped that the students of Batch 2023 at the University of Information Technology will study and train with confidence, uphold the traditions of the university during the course, and leave many positive impressions in their early life experiences.
