NUS - AUN Summer Camp: A Week of Learning with International Friends

Two female students from UIT are proudly participating in the NUS-AUN 2024 Summer Program at the National University of Singapore (NUS) from July 1 to July 13. This is a wonderful opportunity for UIT students to experience, learn, and connect with dynamic students from NUS and other countries.

The NUS-AUN 2024 Summer Program (AUS) has significantly evolved, attracting more than 300 participants, including NUSC undergraduate students, university students from Singapore, students from the Asian University Network (AUN), and participants from other ASEAN countries as well as China, India, Japan, and Korea. AUS 2024 advances beyond its initial version by ensuring that academic and cross-cultural exchanges remain robust and thriving.

During the program, the two UIT students have had incredibly enriching experiences. They participated in in-depth discussions with Dr. Kah-Wee Lee on the topic of Smart Cities, where Dr. Lee shared advanced knowledge on the development of smart and sustainable cities.

Another highlight of the program was a talk by Eleanor Wong, a law lecturer at NUS, on the topic of Diversity & Inclusion. With the core message "DIVERSITY BY INTENT; INCLUSION BY DESIGN," Ms. Wong provided profound insights into building a diverse and inclusive environment through intentional and specific design.

Furthermore, the UIT students engaged in lively activities and discussions on the theme of Environment & Sustainability. Here are images showcasing the ideas and topics presented by the students: Regenerative Smart Cities, Empathy for Life Circular Economy, Ocean Ecosystems & Communities, and Habitat Restoration.

The UIT students were very impressed by the dynamism and enthusiasm of NUS students and other international participants. Discussions, learning journeys, and campfire chats provided opportunities to expand their network and learn from various cultures.
