In commemoration of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024), the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City , and the 18th anniversary of the establishment of University of Information Technology, the Trade Union of the University organizes a sports festival for all lecturers, staff, and workers. The sports festival is an opportunity for Trade Union members of the University to improve their physical fitness, create a healthy and enjoyable playground, foster connections, promote the spirit of physical exercise and sports, and contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of work for the entire Trade Union community to achieve the goal of "Being Healthy to Teach Well and Work Well."
This year's sports festival will take place from March to May 2024. Teams will be drawn and compete directly to determine the winning team for further competition in the semi-finals and finals. This year, the sports festival is organized with 11 main competition categories: Soft volleyball, Mini football (Men), Mini football (Women), Love football, Jump rope, Cross-country running, Slow cycling, Drawing competition, Table tennis, Badminton, and Tug of war.
The opening ceremony of the Sports Festival will be held at 8:00 AM on March 28, 2024, at the Chess Field Gate A. At 8:30 AM on the same day, the Jump rope competition will begin, followed by the Cross-country running competition at 9:00 AM.
The Trade Union Sports Festival not only provides an opportunity for lecturers, staff, and workers to improve their health and enhance their sports spirit but also contributes to selecting outstanding athletes to participate in upcoming major competitions at various levels. We wish lecturers, staff, and workers to have exhilarating moments of competition and achieve the highest achievements. This event, besides its internal cohesion significance, is also an opportunity for us to see our teachers and colleagues in a very different role - they have escaped many daily routines to immerse themselves in the largest sports playground of the year.
