University of Information Technology Increases Enrollment Quota by 200 in 2024

The University of Information Technology, a member of the National University in Ho Chi Minh City, plans to admit 2,000 regular students, an increase of 200 compared to last year. On the afternoon of December 28, the University of Information Technology announced its enrollment direction for the year 2024.

With the direct admission and priority admission methods, the university follows the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the project of the National University in Ho Chi Minh City, and the university's specific regulations. Additionally, the university prioritizes direct admission for those who have achieved special, first, second, and third prizes in the Vietnamese Student Informatics Olympiad, Procon open-source software competition, "Asian Programming - ICPC Asia" competition, and the "Way to Mount Olympia" competition (from the monthly competition onwards).

Candidates who have won medals in sports competitions are also given priority for direct admission, including world championships, world cups, Olympic Games, Asian Games (ASIAD), Asian championships, Asian cups, Southeast Asian championships, Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), Southeast Asian Cup, and those who have won the national chess/checkers championship. These candidates must have an average score in the subjects of the admission combination of 7 or above.

In the admission method based on international certificates, candidates need to graduate from high school with either the Vietnamese or foreign program and have one of the following certificates: SAT (510 points or more for each part), ACT with a score of 21/36 or above, AS/A level (high school certificates) with a grade from C to A for each subject, or International Baccalaureate (IB) with a total score of 21 or above.
