On the morning of April 1, 2024, University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (UIT) solemnly organized the Announcement and Appointment Ceremony for the Associate Professor Titles to the faculty members who have been recognized by the State Professorship Council as meeting the standards in 2023.
Through the process of implementing the recognition of professorship standards at various levels including grassroots, sectors, and the state, on November 20, 2023, the Chairman of the State Professorship Council issued Decision No. 80 recognizing the professorship standards, Associate Professor titles in 2023 for 58 lecturers meeting the standards for professorship and 572 lecturers meeting the standards for Associate Professor titles; of which, UIT has 02 faculty members.

Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Lung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector, along with the faculty members in the University Executive Board, leaders of affiliated units, colleagues, and relatives of the newly appointed Associate Professors who came to congratulate.
At the ceremony, MSc. Mai Van Cuong - Head of the Organization and Administration Office, authorized by the Rector, announced the decision to appoint the Associate Professor titles to 2 faculty members:
1. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Luu Thuy Ngan - Vice President
2. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Thanh Tinh - Head of the Mathematics - Physics Department

In his congratulatory speech to the new Associate Professors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh - Rector extended his congratulations and acknowledged the relentless efforts, overcoming rigorous rounds to achieve worthy accomplishments of the 2 newly appointed Associate Professors; he emphasized: "I sincerely congratulate the 2 new Associate Professors of UIT, this is the pride of the University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City. I firmly believe that in their new roles, the Associate Professors will continue to educate, research, publish internationally... and continue to contribute to the University and society." Furthermore, the Rector also hoped that the new Associate Professors would ignite and support other faculty members to continue striving, planning to achieve the Associate Professor titles in the coming years. This is not only the responsibility of individuals but also the responsibility and pride of UIT. The university, leaders of units, and departments will create conditions, support to help faculty members continuously improve their capabilities, and develop themselves, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of UIT.

Also, at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Luu Thuy Ngan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Thanh Tinh expressed their emotions, gratitude for the support and encouragement of the University of Information Technology, leaders at all levels, teachers, colleagues, research team members, and families during the past time to achieve the results today. "This achievement can be said to be a meaningful and arduous process; with the new position, new titles, new academic ranks, I commit to accompany, work, and strive to contribute to the development strategy of the University," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Luu Thuy Ngan spoke.
