ASIIN Accreditation Delegation Conducts On-Site Evaluation at the University of Information Technology – VNU-HCM
On November 12–13, 2025, VNUHCM - University of Information Technology (UIT) welcomed the ASIIN Accreditation Delegation from the Federal Republic of Germany for an on-site visit to evaluate UIT’s academic programs under international quality assurance standards. This marks the third time UIT has participated in the ASIIN accreditation process — one of the world’s most prestigious and reputable organizations in science, engineering, and technology accreditation.
ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics) is a quality assurance organization under the European Network for Quality Assurance (ENQA). In Vietnam, ASIIN is authorized to conduct assessments and certifications for higher education institutions and programs in natural sciences, engineering, mathematics–statistics, computing–information technology, educational sciences, and teacher training. ASIIN’s accreditations are internationally recognized and serve as a trusted mark of academic quality across global higher education systems.

During the visit, ASIIN conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the programs, covering aspects such as learning outcomes, curriculum design, faculty qualifications, facilities, quality assurance processes, and the connection between the university, students, and industry. The review provided the experts with an in-depth understanding of UIT’s academic quality, innovation capacity, and alignment with ASIIN’s rigorous international standards.
The delegation participated in a variety of activities, including meetings with university leadership, employers, faculty, and students, as well as visits to classrooms, laboratories, and research facilities to assess the academic environment and resources available at UIT.
