Together, we witness an event in the context of the modern world, where data is not just a resource but the key to unlocking the door to the future, where technology and innovation shape a civilized, sustainable, and prosperous society. This is not only an academic playground but also a forum for new ideas, where interaction occurs between outstanding students and researchers creating significant breakthroughs."

Having surpassed many outstanding participants in the UIT Data Science Challenge 2023, Team GreenJackpot and the DS@UIT Multimodal Team (University of Information Technology, VNU-HCM) officially became the champions of Group A and Group B, respectively.

At the same time, the organizers also awarded the runner-up prizes, third prizes, encouragement prizes, and the most popular product award for the participating teams.

It is worth noting that Group A was focused on products/applications based on Data Science to address issues or needs arising from the cultural and social life of the people in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam in general. Group B of the competition aimed to be an academic competition on Data Science. In this group, the competition was organized similarly to other academic competitions worldwide such as VQA challenge, SemEval, or local academic competitions in Vietnam like VLSP Shared Tasks Challenge and AI HCM Challenge. The theme of this year's Data Science Challenge was "distinguishing real news from fake news on social media." The final round judges were experts in the field of Data Science/Artificial Intelligence from reputable universities and businesses.

"In today's ceremony, I would like to congratulate the teams that have won prizes at the Data Science Challenge 2023. After this competition, the organizing committee hopes that the teams will continue to develop projects from Group A into practical applications, actively contributing to the development of society based on the foundation of Data Science technology. The authentication models of information from Group B can be presented in the form of scientific papers published at scientific conferences/journals and can be developed into useful applications in Vietnam." - Assoc.
