Conference on Comprehensive Scientific Implementation of the University Sharing Model Phase 2024 - 2035

On the morning of January 15, the Conference on the Comprehensive Scientific Implementation of the University Sharing Model for the period 2024 - 2035 under the University Sharing Project was successfully held at Hall E, University of Information Technology, VNU-HCM.

During the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duc Lung chaired the event and delivered the opening speech, stating, "The main purpose of the University Sharing Project is to enhance the efficiency of resource utilization, reduce investment costs for higher education, and improve the quality of education."

Participating from VNU-HCM were Associate Professor Dr. Ho Quoc Bang, Vice Director of the Training Council. From the university's leadership, there were Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duc Lung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council, and Head of the Project; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Luu Thuy Ngan, Vice President. Additionally, the conference saw the presence of Dr. Tran Ai Cam, President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Dr. Ngo Hong Diep, Vice President of Thu Dau Mot University, and leaders from medical schools such as Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, University of Saigon, Lac Hong University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, along with professors and lecturers from various university campuses and experts in the fields of educational material management, human resource management, and facility management.Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duc Lung speaking at the conference.

The conference presented the implementation process and overall research results of the project, covering specific topics such as the general objectives of the project, introduction of the University Sharing Model, sharing educational materials and deployment plans, sharing facilities and deployment plans, sharing human resources and deployment plans, and IT infrastructure and deployment conditions.

In the first 5 years of implementation, the project will be divided into two phases: 2024 - 2025 implementing the model for 3 training disciplines (3 lead educational institutions); 2026 - 2028 implementing the model for 8 training disciplines (5 lead educational institutions). In each implementation phase, the research team proposes three steps: Preparation, Operation, Testing and Summarizing, Evaluation.Dr. Nguyen Ai Cam sharing insights at the conference.

Furthermore, the project also presented proposals related to legal foundations and conditions to ensure the implementation of the University Sharing Model, with a particular emphasis on building the foundation of IT infrastructure, including hardware, network, and software. After listening to the research results of the project, delegates engaged in discussions, shared opinions, and highly praised the goals, ideas, and content of the project, expressing a desire to participate in the sharing ecosystem and benefit from this model.
