Connecting with the world, becoming a global citizen with the international collaboration program at UIT

This is the story of Do Van Truong - Bachelor of International Computer Science, class of 2019, BCU program at UIT. Before that, Van Truong had been recognized as one of the promising faces of the program when his scientific paper was published at the SOICT 2023 International Scientific Conference.

Having completed high school with excellent results, Van Truong was admitted to the Computer Science program at a leading university in information technology. However, at that time, the young man already had expectations and plans for his future in the international market. "Initially, I planned not only to attend university but also to pursue a Master's degree in an international environment. The BCU and UIT international collaboration program is a perfect choice, providing me with opportunities to study according to global standards, with an international degree and affordable tuition fees. This was a very correct decision for my academic path."

Joining the BCU program, Van Truong made choices and strategies to leverage his abilities and passion for technology applications in the financial sector. He seriously studied, surveyed, and researched to pave the way for his research path. The result was significant with his research paper "Bias-free Trading Algorithms with Momentum Scores for the Vietnamese Stock Market," receiving positive reviews at SOICT 2023 - a reputable International Conference on Information Technology and Communication. Moreover, the conference proceedings will be assigned an ISBN by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and included in the database of reputable scientific institutions worldwide after a rigorous review process.

Possessing a published research paper at an international scientific conference demonstrates the competence, progress, and thoroughness of Van Truong with his research work - an academic achievement in his university lectures. During this process, Van Truong received positive support from the BCU collaboration program: "As a BCU student, I have a significant advantage in accessing the BCU Library with a rich source of learning materials. Student scientific papers, study resources, research projects, etc., are readily available for me to learn and reference for my research."

He is ready for the journey ahead in the global learning environment and career.

A fascinating and satisfying journey with Van Truong's academic passion, he has secured a job before graduation at an investment fund, aligning with his previous passion. Currently, Van Truong is ready for a new academic journey with valuable experiences from the BCU program: "I will continue to pursue a Master's degree soon. The learning process at BCU has helped me build a solid English foundation, enough to achieve a high IELTS score. I am also more confident to participate in the GRE exam, apply to large universities in Canada and the United States, and pursue the path of becoming a Quantitative Financial Specialist, aligning with my specialization studied and researched at BCU and UIT."
