The Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) has received an invitation from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) regarding the USM-AUN Summer Programme 2024, which is part of the AUN Summer Programme.
1. Programme Information:
The programme is named the LIFE Programme with the theme “LIFE: Living, Inclusive, Fulfilling, and Experience.” It combines classroom learning with practical experience through community projects and educational trips. The LIFE theme aims to help students appreciate the essence of life both inside and outside the classroom.

2. Duration:
- From September 2 to September 15, 2024.
3. Location:
- USM, Penang, Malaysia.
4. Costs:
- The organizers will cover the programme fee, accommodation, and some meals.
- The university will support the following costs for participating students:
- Airfare: a minimum of 5,000,000 VND per student.
- Insurance: 500,000 VND per student.
- Students are responsible for other living expenses outside the programme.
5. Quota:
- 08 students representing VNU-HCM.
6. Eligibility Criteria:
- Undergraduate students currently enrolled at VNU-HCM member and affiliated units.
- Good academic performance, with a preference for those with academic awards.
- Proficiency in English.
- Leadership potential, teamwork, and good communication skills.
- Preference for students with experience in extracurricular activities and cultural exchanges, especially those related to ASEAN.
- Commitment to fully participate in the programme.
7. Application Documents:
- English CV.
- Student Information Form (attached template).
- Academic transcript in Vietnamese, certified by the training unit.
- Proof of English proficiency.
- Proof of leadership experience, extracurricular activities, and cultural exchange.
- Proof of academic awards (if any).
8. Application Process:
- Students should submit their application (scanned and compiled into one PDF file) to the Student Affairs Office via email at ctsv@uit.edu.vn with the subject: [AUN Summer Programme-Malaysia2024] [Student ID] [Full Name] before 8:00 AM on April 21, 2024.
- The Student Affairs Office will select one application and notify the student of the result.
- The selected student must submit the hard copy of the documents to the Student Affairs Office before 8:00 AM on May 27, 2024.
- The university will send a nomination letter to VNU-HCM for approval.
- Once the official results are received from VNU-HCM, the student will be notified to participate in the programme.
