Over 850 Researchers, Graduates, and Students from the University of Information Technology Conferred Degrees

On the morning of November 28, at Tran Chi Dao Hall - Headquarters of VNUHCM University of Information Technology, a solemn graduation ceremony was held to confer doctoral, master's, bachelor's, and engineer's degrees for the second round of 2023.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Lung - Chairman of the Council of the University of Information Technology, this is the first year the university has students graduating with equivalent diplomas. Additionally, 19 students from the Computer Science program graduated ahead of schedule. This round of diploma distribution also set a record for the number of graduating students.

"Today's graduation ceremony is not only important for those receiving their graduation diplomas but also holds significant meaning for the university as the ceremony is organized on the 25th-anniversary celebration of the establishment of the Information Technology Development Center - the precursor of the University of Information Technology," expressed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Lung.

During the ceremony, the University of Information Technology awarded degrees to 1 doctoral student in Computer Science; 21 postgraduate students in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Information System; 4 students in the Talent Program for Computer Science; 323 students in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, and Data Science; 36 students in the 2nd-degree program in IT Japanese-oriented direction, and 16 students in the Distance Learning Program for Information Technology.

On this occasion, the University of Information Technology also presented certificates of merit to 1 postgraduate student, 7 outstanding graduates, and 11 freshmen with excellent academic achievements.

The graduation ceremony and degree conferment for the second round of 2023 took place over two sessions. In the afternoon of the same day, the University of Information Technology awarded degrees to 303 students majoring in Information Security, Computer Networks & Data Communication, E-commerce, and Computer Engineering; 18 students in the Talent Engineer Program for Information Security, and 135 students in the Advanced Program for Information System. The university also honored 4 outstanding graduates and 15 freshmen with excellent academic achievements.
