On March 7th, the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City National University organized a conference to review the Party building work in 2023 and set directions for tasks in 2024. Attending the conference were Associate Professor Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Central Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chancellor of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2023, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City continued to maintain its position on prestigious university rankings in the region and the world, as well as leading the country in the number of internationally accredited programs. These results affirm the leading and core role of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City in the Vietnamese education system.
The Party Committee of the University of Information Technology received a Certificate of Merit for "Outstanding Completion of Exemplary Tasks in 2023."
Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chancellor of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Vu Hai Quan, evaluated that in 2023, the propaganda work, mass mobilization, inspection, and supervision tasks of the Party Committee of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City all excellently fulfilled their duties, which were highly appreciated by higher authorities. The leadership of the government in carrying out political tasks also achieved certain results. In the coming time, alongside implementing regular tasks, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City will focus on directing the implementation of three key activities of 2024. Specifically, preparing for the Party congresses at all levels, implementing the Resolution of the Party Committee Executive Board of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City for the 2020-2025 term on implementing the Development Strategy of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City for the period 2021-2030, and the series of activities commemorating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
Comrade Nguyen Nhat Bang received Encouragement Prize at the "Essay Writing Contest to Defend the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2023" organized by VNU-HCM.
Also at the conference, the Party Committee of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City commended and rewarded 3 grassroots party units for outstanding completion of exemplary tasks in 2023; 1 party cell and 13 party members for outstanding completion of exemplary tasks for five consecutive years (2019-2023); 5 collectives and 16 individuals for winning the Essay Writing Contest to Defend the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2023, and 2 collectives for outstanding completion of inspection and supervision tasks of the Party in 2023.
In particular, the Party Committee of the University of Information Technology - VNU-HCM was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Party Committee of VNU-HCM for "Outstanding Completion of Exemplary Tasks in 2023," and Comrade Nguyen Nhat Bang - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the university received the Encouragement Prize at the "Essay Writing Contest to Defend the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2023" organized by VNU-HCM.
