Recently, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) awarded a full scholarship for the Master's degree to Vo Khanh An, a 2019 graduate from the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Information Technology (UIT), Ho Chi Minh City. While still in high school, Khanh An, a Mathematics - Informatics major at Phan Ngoc Hien High School (Ca Mau), directed his interests towards the field he loved. He nurtured a passion for coding and algorithms, laying a solid foundation for himself. Notable achievements in Informatics Olympiads contributed to Khanh An's impressive knowledge and understanding, enabling him to confidently choose UIT as the destination and launching pad for his journey into Information Technology.
Khanh An shared, "Upon entering UIT, I realized that to achieve my goal of becoming a researcher in the field of Information Technology, I would need a lot of effort, and the journey ahead would be challenging." It was at this point that passion guided his path, leading him to embark on a comprehensive development journey with UIT.

Entering UIT with the mindset of a young man full of expectations for the future, Khanh An consolidated his development roadmap through insights shared by professors in the welcoming programs for UIT freshmen. Scientific seminars, study sessions, and interactions with lecturers gradually provided him with essential knowledge to shape his passion and personal direction. It was at UIT that Khanh An met and connected with Dr. Luong Ngoc Hoang, participating in the research group Evolutionary Learning & Optimization (ELO@UIT) guided by his mentor. This teacher-student relationship marked the beginning of the impressive research results of the young man in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Furthermore, Khanh An expressed, "Respected professors, colleagues, and friends at UIT have also provided much inspiration and motivation for me throughout my time on campus. Everyone has helped me gain a deep impression of dedication, sharing, and support in group learning, project work, Youth Union activities, and scientific research at the university."

Entering the vibrant and positive university environment, Khanh An actively self-improved to accumulate the most useful values for himself on the journey of self-perfection. He actively participated in Youth Union activities. The lively competitive movement at UIT fueled Khanh An's spirit of dedication to society. He became a familiar face in UIT's Youth Union activities with achievements such as the Excellent Youth Title of Ho Chi Minh City in accordance with Uncle Ho's teachings in 2022, Commendation for significant contributions to Youth Union work and youth movements at VNU-HCM from 2019 to 2022, Exemplary Progressive Youth Title according to Uncle Ho's teachings, Exemplary Youth Union Officer, and Exemplary UIT Student with 5 Goods... and spoke at a meeting with the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City on the theme 'The Aspirations of City Youth Following Uncle Ho's Path.'

Despite participating in many competitive activities and achieving good results, Khanh An never neglected his studies. His efforts and passion for science led Khanh An to publish four scientific papers, including one winning the Best Paper Award at the international conference SoICT 2022 and one published in the Information Sciences journal, ranking Q1 in the prestigious ISI category. Each paper is evidence of the knowledge and experience accumulated by Khanh An, contributing to his outstanding academic record with a perfect score of 10/10 for his thesis. Concluding his passionate university journey in June 2023, Khanh An graduated with the title of 'Outstanding Comprehensive Top Graduate' from UIT, and he also had the honor of representing the new graduates in a speech at the graduation ceremony.

The dedication to science has brought sweet results for the young Engineer. In December of the past year, Khanh An was awarded a full scholarship for a Master's degree by the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. He also made it to the list of scholars in the ASEAN region receiving the Hyundai Chung Mong-Koo Global Scholarship 2024, with full tuition support, study allowances, and various other benefits. Khanh An is prepared to supplement his future research, helping him achieve his visual goals.
