Registration to participate in the Men's and Women's Basketball Team of the Faculty of Information Technology for UIT SPORT 2024 Tournament 

To promote the exercise movement, enhance physical fitness for learning and training among students of the Faculty of Information Systems in particular.

To leverage the strength of the system in taking care and enhancing physical education for students, and improving physical education within the University.

In accordance with plan No. 116/KH-UIT dated February 26, 2024, from University of Information Technology - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City regarding the organization of student sports activities in 2024, the Student Affairs Office announces the organization of basketball competitions as follows:

Participants - Eligibility:

  • Students of regular training programs at the University and students of joint training programs with BCU.
  • Being physically fit to participate in the competition.
  • Having valid health insurance and accident insurance.
  • Only allowed to register to compete for the team of their own Faculty.

Competition content:

  • Men's Basketball (to be organized when there are at least 04 registered teams).
  • Women's Basketball (to be organized when there are at least 03 registered teams).

Time and venue of the competition:

  • Competition time (expected): Mid-March 2024. Detailed schedule will be announced after the list of registered teams is finalized.
  • Summary and award presentation: immediately after the end of the final match of the competition.
  • Competition venue: Basketball court - University of Information Technology - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

Participation fee:

  • Men's Basketball: 250,000 VND/team
  • Women's Basketball: 150,000 VND/team
  • The Faculty of Information Systems will sponsor the participation fee for the teams.

Competition format: Applying International Basketball Rules (FIBA) for 3vs3.

  • For Men's Basketball: each team must register a minimum of 5 players, maximum of 7 players. This number of players remains unchanged throughout the tournament. Team members must be from the same faculty.
  • For Women's Basketball: each team must register a minimum of 4 players, maximum of 7 players. This number of players remains unchanged throughout the tournament. Team members can be from different faculties, but it is encouraged to be from the same faculty.

Prizes:

Depending on the number of registrations, the Organizing Committee will allocate the number of prizes. At least 3 prizes for the men's category and 2 prizes for the women's category:

  • First Prize: Medal + cash prize
  • Second Prize: Medal + cash prize
  • Third Prize: Medal + cash prize

In addition, students participating in the tournament will receive Training Points; receive Certificates of Participation/Achievement and will be the basis for selecting students to participate in sports competitions at various levels.

Note: If individual students register without a team, the Faculty Sports Committee will contact to form teams.
