In the morning of the October 12th, Nguyen Thien Nhan, Member of Politburo, Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee (PC), paid a working visit to the VNUHCM - University of Information Technology (UIT).

At the Information Security Laboratory, Secretary of the Communist Party Nguyen Thien Nhan watched a demonstration of a large-scale cyberattack by Dr. Pham Van Hau and the research team. This is the Laboratory of Research, Solutions, Implementation and Evaluation of Information Security and Security for some provinces in the South.

At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh, President of the University introduced UIT’s activities and missions as an Undergraduate Graduate Training Center, providing high quality human resources, meeting the needs of the labor market and serving the community.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan listened, praised and appreciated the achievements that UIT got, such as 99% of students have jobs after graduation, and 1% of students. Deploying information security is relevant to Ho Chi Minh City's Smart City," said the Secretary. "UIT needs to pay more attention to the living conditions and the income of teachers in the years to come to develop long-term human resources to UIT and for the City."
Previously, Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan attended the opening ceremony of the 2017 held at the VNU-HCM and gave a speech about "Student and Start-up".
