Spring Message to UIT-ers: Safe Eating

Hey UIT-ers! No matter how you celebrate Tet, make sure to follow these safety principles:

  • Always have a full breakfast for a clear mind at the start of the day, don't just have plain coffee before going to class. Eat at the right times: around 11-12 pm for lunch, and 5-6 pm for dinner. Overeating can lead to future stomach discomfort. After eating, take at least a 30-60 minute break.

  • Foods good for studying:

  • Brain-boosting foods like pig brain, cow brain, eggs, pumpkin, fatty fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids; eel, quail, and pigeon porridge, which are both affordable and nutritious; raw eggs (chicken, duck, quail) are very nutritious and healthy; various types of liver rich in vitamin A for bright eyes, containing vitamin B12 and iron for blood health.

  • Eat various types of vegetables such as bean sprouts, watercress, bitter melon, amaranth, and red spinach to enhance learning ability but may induce sleepiness, promoting overall health. Dark-colored vegetables, tomatoes, carrots, papayas, and ripe mangoes also contain a lot of pro-vitamin A to prevent eye fatigue and boost immunity.

  • Drink at least 2 liters of water per day, and in hot weather, drink even more. Dehydration can lead to fatigue and an increased risk of kidney stones later on.

Remember, "Eat healthy - Don't gain weight after Tet!"
