UIT Achieves Multiple Awards at the Finals of SOICT Hackathon 2023

The SOICT Hackathon 2023 Finals were successfully held, bringing forth not only breakthrough ideas but also unforgettable moments among the participants and their teammates. The 32 competing teams presented innovative and unique products to address real-world problems across five tasks corresponding to five closely related fields in life.

After 24 hours of perfecting their products and delivering compelling presentations, UIT students achieved outstanding results. Specifically:

The SOICT Hackathon 2023, organized by the School of Information and Communication Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with partners, is a playground for students and doctoral students nationwide. It aims to stimulate a passion for exploring the development of AI techniques and applications to solve practical problems for life and benefit the community.

The competition had five tracks with different formats: Kaggle (like BKAI Challenge 2022), Product Idea Hackathon, and Programming Competition. Each track was sponsored by a reputable enterprise (Samsung, TIKI, NAVER, Vietcombank) and focused on these areas:

- Vietnamese Spoken Language Understanding (SLU)

- AI-Powered Mobile Apps (Samsung)

- Vietnamese Handwritten Text Recognition (OCR)

- Routing Optimization (TIKI)

- AI-Powered Banking, Finance, Insurance and Securities (Vietcombank)

Congratulations to the UIT teams for their achievements in the SOICT Hackathon 2023 in Hanoi, bringing honor to UIT and providing an opportunity for creative exploration, exchange, and personal development. It is hoped that the competition will serve as motivation and valuable experience to help young talents advance further on the path of dedication to science and technology for building and developing society!
