Amidst the vibrant atmosphere celebrating the 65th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Border Guard (03/3/1959 - 03/3/2024), commemorating the 35th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day (03/3/1989 - 03/3/2024); celebrating the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (26/3/1931 - 26/3/2024) and marking the 49th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the South, reunification of the country (30/4/1975 - 30/4/2024), on March 2, 2024, five comrades, officials, and members representing the youth of the University of Information Technology (UIT) participated in the "Youth Protects the Sea" Camp in 2024. This camp is organized by the City Youth Union and the Border Guard Forces of Ho Chi Minh City.
The camp takes place in Can Thanh town, Can Gio, Ho Chi Minh City, featuring many meaningful and practical activities. These include organizing the "Border Guard Month" program, presenting youth projects to the Border Guard soldiers, learning about the culture of Can Gio residents at the Monument of General Thuy, organizing a sightseeing program to explore the Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, visiting and giving gifts to forest protection households facing difficulties, engaging in cultural exchange programs with historical witnesses at the historical site of the Sác Forest Combat Zone, experiencing team-building games, cultural exchanges, and campfire activities.
Through these activities, the aim is to educate a love for the country, instill confidence and pride in the younger generation, create an environment for exchange, learning, and sharing experiences in youth union activities, and strengthen the bonds and solidarity among members of the UIT youth union and other participating units in the camp.
