Uni Tour 2024: Memorable Experience for Phu Nhuan High School Students

Before the Lunar New Year holiday, Uni Tour 2024 took over 50 students from Phu Nhuan High School on an educational visit to explore the learning environment at University of Information Technology (UIT).

The students began by touring the Smart Classrooms designed for students enrolled in the Vietnamese-Japanese program. Here, they experienced modern computers and specialized software for language learning.

The Smart Classrooms at UIT are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and machinery to support the learning process.

Following this, the students visited various laboratories at UIT, including the Data Center, Information Security Laboratory (InSecLab), Multimedia Lab (MMLab), and Application-Specific Integrated Circuit Lab (ASIC LAB). Here, the students were introduced to the research and experimentation conducted by postgraduate students and UIT students in their academic and research pursuits.

Each laboratory played a unique role in the field of Information Technology. For example, at the InSecLab, students gained insights into research, scientific knowledge, and the application of modern technology. In the ASIC LAB, experts provided detailed information about the role and significance of integrated circuits worldwide, as well as future career opportunities for microchip engineers.

Exploring Artificial Intelligence at UIT

During the visit to the MMLab, students learned about Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and had the opportunity to test demos with computer vision to understand more about this trending field. As part of the tour, Dr. Ngo Duc Thanh, Head of the Computer Science Department, shared insights with the students about issues related to Artificial Intelligence. Through this session, students gained a better understanding of the academic programs offered at UIT, career opportunities, and a clearer vision of their future professions in the IT industry. Experts also diligently addressed students' questions about the field of Information Technology.

Uni Tour 2024 is part of the activities under the "UIT Student Ambassadors 2024" program, aiming to provide high school students with the opportunity to directly experience the facilities and education quality at the University of Information Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (UIT). The program helps students better understand the environment and academic programs offered by the university, allowing them to make informed decisions about their future academic paths.
