University of Information Technology Welcomes the Wanzl Delegation from Germany

On the afternoon of March 8th, the Wanzl company delegation from Germany paid a visit to and exchanged ideas with University of Information Technology (UIT) with the aim of seeking potential candidates for recruitment needs at the company.

Representatives from the Wanzl company included Mr. Dirk Webert - Senior Vice President of Development Department, Mr. Tobias Ruf - Vice President of Software & Hardware Development, Mr. Steven Zhong - Vice President of Wanzl Asia Pacific Sourcing, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Linh Dan - Supply Manager.

The UIT representatives welcoming the delegation comprised Dr. Nguyen Tuan Nam - Head of the International Relations Office, Dr. Ngo Duc Thanh - Head of the Computer Science Faculty, and Mr. Do Van Tien - Vice Dean of the Computer Science Faculty.

Mr. Dirk Webert led the delegation in the tour and working session at UIT.

During the meeting, Wanzl expressed their interest in understanding the education system in Vietnam, suitable university partners for collaboration, and seeking potential candidates for software & hardware development, and IoT development, especially in AI, Robotics, cyber security, camera, e-commerce, data science, computer vision, and all things related to ICT.

To help Wanzl gain a better understanding of the educational environment at the University of Information Technology, UIT representatives introduced the training capabilities, particularly in the ICT field, student research activities, as well as collaboration models with enterprises, lab setup at the campus, and collaboration deployment processes.

The Wanzl delegation also visited the Multimedia Communication Laboratory (MMLab) to gain more insight into the facilities and training environment at UIT.

It is noted that Wanzl is a long-established German company with a foundation in mechanics and technical expertise, providing intelligent technology solutions. The company seeks to understand education in Vietnam and other Asian countries, aiming to find partners to supply human resources. The company opened an office in District 7 in 2023.
