Vice President of Bosch GmbH visits and discusses cooperation with the University of Information Technology.

Morning of April 10, 2024, Professor Dirk Slama, Vice President of the technology conglomerate Robert Bosch GmbH, paid a visit to and worked at the University of Information Technology, VNU-HCM.

Robert Bosch GmbH is a multinational technology conglomerate established in 1886, specializing in providing technology and equipment for automobiles and has business relations with most automotive companies worldwide.

Professor Dirk Slama showed interest in the scientific research papers of the students.

Welcoming and working with Professor Dirk Slama, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Minh Son - Head of the Computer Engineering Department, and Dr. Doan Duy - Deputy Head of the Computer Engineering Department introduced UIT's research and training orientations, the cooperation results between Bosch and UIT, as well as exchanged ideas on future cooperation plans.

During the working session, Prof. Dirk Slama visited the Information Security Laboratory (InSecLab) - a specialized research and experimentation facility for information security research, with modern infrastructure serving the learning and research process of students. Here, Dr. Pham Van Hau - Head of the laboratory, also explained and exchanged ideas with Prof. Dirk Slama on issues related to the laboratory and the scientific research activities of students.

In addition, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Minh Son also took the delegation to visit the Computer Engineering Department and the specialized Integrated Circuit Laboratory (ASIC LAB). Here, representatives of the University of Information Technology introduced UIT's training capacity in the field of Integrated Circuit Design and related fields.

One of the highlights of Prof. Dirk Slama's visit to the University of Information Technology was a sharing session with the students on the topic "AIOT and Digital First: Enabling Smart and Connected Devices". Here, Professor Dirk Slama spoke about the practical applications of the conglomerate in combining Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things. At the same time, discussing research activities revolving around the AIOT theme in Vietnam.
