SVVN - On January 22, the University of Information Technology (UIT) opened the 'UIT Spring Courtyard' - a festival of cuisine and traditional games to celebrate the Spring of the Year of the Wood Tiger 2024. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh - the University President, went to the kitchen to cook banh xeo and hosted the students.
Within the program, the Organizing Committee conducted activities such as ribbon-cutting to open the 'UIT Spring Courtyard,' decorating booths featuring cuisine from three regions, and organizing traditional games. Immersed in the lively atmosphere of the festival, Assoc. Profc Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh - the University President, directly cooked banh xeo and hosted the students.
To witness this moment, many students were surprised and touched. "I was genuinely surprised and happy to see the University President cooking in person. I feel like there is no longer any distance between students, teachers, and the university's leadership," shared Nguyen Dinh Khang (majoring in Information Security, University of Information Technology).
Attending the festival, students enjoyed delicious dishes and various characteristic cakes from all three regions of Vietnam. In addition, students experienced traditional games. Through these activities, students felt the connection and care from their teachers. Nguyen Dinh Khang (majoring in Information Security, University of Information Technology) said, "This is my first time participating in 'UIT Spring Courtyard.' What I experienced exceeded my expectations."
Many students attending the festival not only experienced cultural and artistic activities but also had the opportunity to check-in at vibrant and colorful spaces, bearing the typical Vietnamese Tet atmosphere of 'UIT Spring Courtyard.'
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh extended wishes to all UIT members for a joyful, happy, healthy, and prosperous new year in the Year of the Wood Tiger 2024. "I wish all your wishes, big and small, will come true, especially wishing all students a joyful and peaceful Tet holiday," expressed Tu Anh.
Earlier, on the morning of January 19, University of Information Technology (UIT) collaborated with Bosch Global Software Technologies Co., Ltd. to organize the program "Reunion Bus 2024," aiming to give bus tickets and Tet gifts to financially challenged students studying at the university to return home for the Lunar New Year of the Wood Tiger 2024 with their families. The program presented bus tickets and Tet gifts to 50 students facing difficulties and unable to afford to return home for Tet in 16 provinces and cities across the country, mainly in the Central and Central Highlands regions, with a total value of over 60 million VND. Each gift, valued at 1.5 million VND, included a Tet bus ticket and Tet gifts.
