On the morning of December 13, at the Headquarters of VNUHCM, the Council of Science and Education for the term 2023-2026 held its second meeting.
The Council listened to the presentation on the proposal for the opening of the training program and Science and Technology activities by Assoc. Prof. Duong Ton Thai Duong - Deputy Head of the Training Department and Associate Professor Lam Quang Vinh - Head of the Science and Technology Department.
The Council agreed with the proposal to open the Integrated Circuit Design and Semiconductor Technology program at University of Technology, University of Science (for undergraduate and master's levels), and University of Information Technology (for undergraduate level).
The University of An Giang's proposal to open a doctoral program in Crop Science was also approved by the Council. This marks the first doctoral program in the field for the University of An Giang.
The Council also unanimously approved the proposals for the central Science and Technology tasks in 2024; the plan to implement strategic tasks and invest in equipment using funds from the World Bank for VNUHCM.
