Opening Ceremony of Training Course on Skills and Professional Duties for Officials of VNU-HCM

On the morning of February 7th, at the Headquarters of VNU-HCM, VNU-HCM organized the Opening Ceremony for the training course on skills and professional duties for 50 officials of the VNU-HCM.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Tam - Deputy Director of VNU-HCM, the Director of VNU-HCM has consistently emphasized that officials and students are the major assets of VNU-HCM. The development of the official team is one of the top priorities in the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045, as outlined in the VNU-HCM's strategic plan.

Over time, VNU-HCM has implemented various policies to achieve this goal, such as developing a plan to attract talent, providing training and capacity building, sending officials to participate in domestic and international studies, increasing income for workers, and creating a favorable working environment for personal development.

For the VNU-HCM Administrative Office - the brain of VNU-HCM - it has three main tasks: (1) Establish and promulgate policies for operating the VNU-HCM system with a scale of over 6,000 officials and more than 90,000 students while coordinating with central ministries, departments, and agencies for advice on policy development, laws, decrees, and resolutions; (2) Advise on solving issues related to VNU-HCM and contribute to policy development in its regular activities; (3) Supervise the activities of units within the system.

"To contribute to fulfilling these functions and duties and to implement the development goals for officials and employees outlined in the strategic plan of VNU-HCM, today, the VNU-HCM Administrative Office organizes a training course to create conditions for officials and employees to improve themselves and better perform their duties," said Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Tam.

The training course on skills and professional duties for officials of the VNU-HCM Administrative Office is scheduled for two days on December 7th and 14th and will be conducted by Dr. Tan Xuan Bao, the former Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Civil Servant Training Academy.
