Program for Meeting and Commending Students Achieving in Olympics and International Science and Technology 2023

On the afternoon of 16th December, the Ministry of Education and Training organized a program to meet and commend students who excelled in the Olympics and International Science and Technology competitions in 2023.

Among the honored students was Tran Vinh Khanh, a talented student majoring in Computer Science, class of 2023. He won a silver medal at the 17th Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad in 2023. Tran Vinh Khanh is the only freshman at the VNU-HCM University of Information Technology (UIT) to receive a scholarship worth 500 million VND and 24 million VND for 4 years of residence at the dormitory of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

This annual program aims to honor and commend the achievements of students in various international competitions, including Olympiads and International Science and Technology contests. Vietnam sent 7 student delegations with a total of 36 participants to compete in various fields, including Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Information Technology. Specifically, in the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad, the Vietnamese team, including 6 participants, won 4 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals.

Congratulations to Tran Vinh Khanh for his outstanding achievement, acknowledging his relentless efforts and continuous dedication to conquering the heights of information technology and communication. We celebrate not only his individual success but also his representation of Vietnam on the global stage, contributing significantly to the country's development and showcasing remarkable qualities of unity, innovation, and national pride. We wish him to maintain his spirit and enthusiasm for learning, achieving even greater accomplishments, and contributing to the nation's future.
