Thien Bao shared that he started learning English in middle school. Achieving a TOEIC score of 975 is a commendable feat, showcasing Thien Bao's exceptional abilities and dedicated learning process.

As someone with a strong English learning background, Bao emphasizes the importance of perseverance in self-study or learning at language centers. According to him, having the right mindset is crucial, stating, "If students have this mindset, I think whether you study at a center or self-study won't be a significant issue."

Living in an environment with minimal English usage, Bao actively seeks ways to maintain his proficiency. He applies English in his daily activities, recognizing that consistent application is crucial for retention. Bao explains, "If I learn anything without applying it, I will gradually forget. Therefore, I always apply English in daily activities. For the IT field, continuous knowledge updating and materials, articles are often in English, so I have to use English regularly. In my leisure time, I also entertain myself by reading or playing games, and I always choose to use English if possible."

Bao believes that building a strong English foundation is the first step before achieving high scores. He usually revisits basic concepts, such as tenses and common structures, initially. Following that, he focuses on basic vocabulary before delving into advanced words. In the last 1-2 months before the test, Bao practices solving problems while simultaneously enhancing his vocabulary, time permitting.

Regarding the most challenging skill, Bao points out that Writing is the most difficult for him due to struggling with organizing ideas. Despite having a good main idea, breaking it down into sub-ideas poses a considerable challenge. Additionally, being naturally stutter-prone, Bao has put in significant effort to improve.

Being proficient in a foreign language has enabled Thien Bao to connect with people worldwide, not only with foreigners but also with other students during his English learning journey.

According to Bao, the most effective method is to start from the basics and gradually advance. Overloading oneself with too much information at once can lead to discouragement, so Bao suggests breaking down the learning process according to individual learning capacities, starting with the most basic aspects. Bao always considers whether he has grasped the content before moving on to the next part.

Bao acknowledges that everyone learning a language may experience fear, fear of making mistakes, fear of inconveniencing others, etc. He advises, "Accept mistakes because if you don't make mistakes, you won't progress. Don't be afraid to ask questions." In his final piece of advice, Bao encourages putting in maximum effort and taking pride in that effort, hoping that everyone will try their best and be proud of their achievements, regardless of the outcome.
