On the morning of January 29th, at the Headquarters of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM), the Trade Union of VNUHCM organized the program "Gathering for Tet - Spring Gratitude" for over 100 union members, officials, and laborers (UM-OF-L) on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Rat 2024.
With the motto "Tet for all union members", the program contributed to helping UM-OF-L and their families welcome Tet with a spirit of joy, health, safety, and thriftiness. The program is part of the series of activities to care for Tet of the VNUHCM Trade Union.
100 households of UM-OF-L facing difficulties received Tet gifts worth 1 million VND/person, including 700,000 VND in cash and essential goods worth 300,000 VND. The VNUHCM Trade Union also provided 2 train tickets (total value of 3,806,000 VND) to support 2 UM-OF-L to return to their hometown for Tet under the program "Tickets of Love and Gratitude".
In addition, the VNUHCM Trade Union also implemented many other meaningful activities on the occasion of Tet. 225 households of UM-OF-L were given tickets to visit Dam Sen Cultural Park under the program "Worker and Laborer Families Celebrate Tet with the City" for the 3rd time. The program "Spring Journey" organized by the VNUHCM Trade Union in coordination with the Executive Committee of the VNUHCM Youth Union supported transportation for UM-OF-L to return to their hometown.
The VNUHCM Trade Union coordinated with VNUHCM to support 128 union members from 16 grassroots trade unions (including 34 officials, 91 laborers, 3 lecturers) with low incomes of less than 10 million VND/month, single-parent families or single individuals raising small children and supporting elderly parents, and those facing severe illness or poverty, with Tet gifts worth 1 million VND/person, including 700,000 VND in cash and essential goods worth 300,000 VND. In addition, the VNUHCM Trade Union also gave gifts worth 5 million VND to soldiers stationed at the offshore platform DK.
The VNUHCM Trade Union personally handed over Tet gifts to UM-OF-L.
