UIT is the only university in the Southern Region to own the Silver Cup.

In the framework of OLP’23, the Super Cup is an individual competition for students who have won prizes in previous years. This year has gathered many outstanding candidates who have participated and won prizes in various competitions from national to international levels. After the competition, UIT representatives excellently brought home 2 prestigious cups: the Silver Cup and the Bronze Cup.

Sharing with UITNews, Vinh Khanh (a first-year student in the talent program, majoring in Computer Science) said he had overcome many tests and competitions with other students in the university to earn a spot in the 32nd Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad.

With experience from participating in major competitions, Khanh and Hoang gained confidence, calmly surpassing many opponents and achieving good results. "Before entering university, I also participated in some major competitions. When I came to this competition, I felt quite comfortable. Through this competition, I have made many new friends and gained many interesting experiences. Especially experiencing the beautiful land of Hue," Vinh Khanh said.

In terms of experience and knowledge for competition, Vinh Khanh also shared that he had the opportunity to participate in many competitions, so he had relatively good experience compared to the general level. "I think the factors that helped me win the Silver Cup are the experience I have, suitable test questions, and a bit of luck," Khanh said.

Another representative of UIT is Ha Van Hoang - a third-year student majoring in Computer Science, who also achieved admirable results. Although Hoang was not the first choice to represent UIT in OLP’23, with determination and good practical experience, he did not disappoint the trust of everyone.

"This is not the first time I have participated in major programming competitions, so I can adapt to the pace of the competition. However, I personally feel quite regretful that I could not win the ICPC prize," Hoang shared.
